Agreement to Terms

By downloading or using Shiba-Ku, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

These Terms apply to all users of Shiba-Ku, operated by Red Shiba Studio LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

License Grant

Subject to these Terms, Red Shiba Studio LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Shiba-Ku on an iOS device you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You are licensing the app, not purchasing it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Red Shiba Studio LLC.

Free Tier

We do not display ads. Ever. Free players are not subject to timers, session locks, or paywall-gated retries.

In-App Purchases

Shiba-Ku offers optional in-app purchases through Apple's App Store. The following products are currently available:

All purchases are charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. Prices are in USD and may vary by region based on local App Store pricing. Non-consumable purchases are yours permanently and are tied to your Apple ID.

Consumable purchases (Yarn Hints, star packs) are not restorable once delivered. Non-consumable purchases (the Summer Bundle) can be restored at any time via the Restore Purchases option in the app's Store screen.

Stars

Shiba-Ku includes an in-game star system. Stars are earned through gameplay or purchased via star packs (Sparkle Pack, Interstellar). Stars can be used to unlock premium avatars (50 stars each) or redeem Yarn Hints (25 stars each) — all without a separate purchase.

Stars never expire. Earned and purchased stars remain in your balance indefinitely and are not subject to expiry, session limits, or inactivity resets.

Premium avatars (Sesame Shiba, Snow Shiba, Party Shiba, Sleepy Shiba) are unlocked exclusively through stars. They are not available as direct cash purchases.

Stars are not a currency with real-world monetary value, are not transferable between devices or accounts, and cannot be sold, exchanged, or redeemed for cash. Star balances are stored locally on your device. Red Shiba Studio LLC is not responsible for star balance loss due to device transfer, app deletion, or data corruption.

Yarn Hints

Yarn Hints reveal valid Shiba placements on the puzzle board. They can be earned through gameplay (awarded for winning 5 Daily Puzzles), redeemed using stars (25 stars each), or purchased directly via Yarn Hint packs in the Store.

Yarn Hints never expire. Earned and purchased Yarn Hints remain in your balance indefinitely. Once a Yarn Hint is used in a puzzle, it is consumed and cannot be recovered.

Restore Purchases

If you previously purchased a non-consumable product, you can restore it at no charge via the Restore Purchases option in the app's Store screen. Purchases are tied to your Apple ID. Consumable purchases (Yarn Hints) cannot be restored once used.

Refunds

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple. Red Shiba Studio LLC does not process refunds. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com.

Apple Game Center

Shiba-Ku integrates with Apple Game Center for optional leaderboards and achievements. Game Center participation is voluntary. If you connect Game Center, your Daily Puzzle solve times and achievement progress may appear on public leaderboards and be visible to other Game Center users.

Game Center is operated by Apple and subject to Apple's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Red Shiba Studio LLC does not control Game Center's data practices.

Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or tamper with any part of the app
• Use exploits, cheats, or automation tools to manipulate leaderboard scores or achievement progress
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense access to the app or its content
• Use the app in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law

Intellectual Property

All content, design, branding, artwork, code, audio, and characters within Shiba-Ku — including the amigurumi Shiba Inu characters, patchwork board design, wordmark, and seasonal content — are the property of Red Shiba Studio LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any part of the app without written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Shiba-Ku is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Red Shiba Studio LLC does not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Red Shiba Studio LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Shiba-Ku, including but not limited to loss of in-game progress, star balance, or purchased content resulting from device failure, app deletion, or account changes.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app. Continued use of Shiba-Ku after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from use of Shiba-Ku will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the applicable courts.
